The Sacred Origin of the Ganges

Gangotri represents where the mighty Ganges River begins, initially called "Ganga" or "Bhagirathi." The actual source sits further uphill at Gomukh, a stunning glacial formation. Situated in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, Gangotri is approximately 3,415 meters above sea level.
